The NTS "hot clue gun".


The University of Minnesota internet covers a wide geographical area, supports many different system types, and is managed in a distributed fashion. It can be thought of as a model of the Internet.

The I in CIFS stands for Internet, so the University's environment is of interest to CIFS developers.
